Obesity is linked to many diseases, including high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, various cancers, and an overall reduction in life expectancy. Obesity is defined as a condition where a person has a body mass index (BMI) that is greater than 30. On the other hand, being overweight is defined as having a BMI of more than 25!
Dr. Sampson is committed to helping patients understand this chronic disease and devising individualized approaches to fighting this condition. Most of our patients have not only been able to successfully lose weight but kept it off.
